Beauty in Balance and Balance in Beauty is the foundation of the Laws of Physics in Abstract Modern Art. The importance of this discovery can not be overstated, as it has been well known that the laws of physics govern all aspects of our universe, but this study goes further to show that these laws govern the beautiful balance found in all areas of life. Even though beauty and balance are two distinct qualities, they are intrinsically linked through the laws of physics which manifests itself as an interdependence.

An Exploration of Laws of Physics in Abstract Modern Art: The Impressionist movement represents an essential phase in modern art. We have all seen paintings of Parisian streets, with their amazing balance between light and shadow, but other artistic phases have been defined by very different elements. For example, Cubism was developed by Picasso and Georges Braque to give a sense of realism that had previously been unimaginable.

Colour Balance

Colour (or chromaticity) is a visual sensation according to which humans and other animals distinguish objects from one another. It takes two different parameters, the wavelength of light as well as intensity. A secondary color can be created through a mix of two primary colors, for example, red+green=yellow. In modern art, color balance is most commonly used to describe how two or more colors relate to each other throughout an artwork.

Creative Use of Proportions

The Golden Ratio–the key to a well-proportioned image that will remain aesthetically pleasing no matter what device you view it on–was first explored by Euclid more than 2,000 years ago. This section is all about using your artistic license with proportion to create images that are striking, unique, and artistic.

Contrast & Harmony

Contrast is used to create visual interest and emphasis, as well as provide a sense. It’s easy to recognize why when we look at art. In a piece with no contrast, all parts blend, there’s no pop, nothing that stands out or draws our attention—and it doesn’t seem balanced. When balancing contrast with harmony, it’s important to create a sense of unity between these contrasting elements.
